Jaguar Land Rover making big push into China’s NEV market
Feb 22, 2021 (China Knowledge) - British automaker Jaguar Land Rover is making a big push into the Chinese NEV market in order to stay competitive in the auto industry. Jaguar would be a pure electric brand by 2025 whereas Land Rover would launch six full electric models by 2025.
This push is supported by the fact that China is the world’s largest market for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, with 1.37 million units sold in 2020, an 11% YOY increase. Jaguar Land Rover sold 430,000 vehicles worldwide, with China sales accounting for 23% of the total.
