China's tourism revenue rose 228% during Qingming Festival holiday

Apr 06, 2021 (China Knowledge) - China's tourism sector revenue increased by 228.9% to RMB 27.17 bln during the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, based on estimates from the country’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

China’s Ministry of Transport estimated that 145 mln trips were made between April 3 and 5, maintaining a high passenger flow with an increase of 142% YoY.

Transactions worth RMB 1.72 trln were made online during the period, an increase of 48.9% YoY, according to NetsUnion Clearing Corporation.
