China Stock Markets Daily: Shanghai +0.32%, Shenzhen +0.01%, HK -0.13%
Jun 09, 2021 (China Knowledge) - Shanghai Composite Index ended the day at 3,591.40, up 0.32%, Shenzhen Component Index 14,718.40, climbing 0.01%, and the Hang Seng Index 28,742.63, falling 0.13%. The trading volume for the three exchanges recorded RMB 998.11 bln (USD 156.2 bln), down 10.1% from yesterday.
Of the 4,331 stocks on Mainland China, there are 2,111 (49%) gainers, 2,039 (47%) decliners, and 181 (4%) remained unchanged. There are 2 new IPOs launched today.
47 stocks rose 10% or more today, with Kaili Catalyst & New Materials (688269) and Eastern Air Logistics (601156) rising the most, up 320.22% and 44.01% respectively.
Meanwhile, 4 stocks declined by 10% of more, with Shenzhen Sosen Electronics (301002) and Hangzhou Liaison (002280) falling the most, dropping 12.04% and 10.03%, respectively.
There were 96 stocks that hit the max limit up while 13 touched the fall limit. The CSRC set maximum 10% rise and 10% fall of a stock in a single day for all A-shares except those on the STAR Market and ChiNext board which are allowed a 20% rise or fall in a single day. These prevent stocks from being traded for the rest of the day once hitting the rise or fall limit to curb extreme volatilities in either direction.
