CITIC Pacific Special Steel ranks top spots in 2023 China Brand Value league-table for steel industry, totaled RMB 45.1 bln in brand value

May 25, 2023 (China Knowledge) - Xinhua News Agency, China Brand Building Promotion Association, China Asset Appraisal Association and other major agencies have jointly released the "2023 China Brand Value Evaluation Results", and CITIC Pacific Special Steel Group (000708) has two companies listed in the "Metallurgy and Non-ferrous Metals" and the "Product Brand" category.

 

CITIC Special Steel's subsidiary, Xingcheng Special Steel, ranked 6th on the list with a scorecard of 918 and a brand value of RMB 28.1 billion, saw an increase of RMB 10.4 billion compared to last year.

 

Its Hubei-based Daye Special Steel ranked 16th on the list with a scorecard of 827 and a brand value of RMB 10.3 billion, marked an increase of RMB 823 million from last year.

 

Another subsidiary Qingdao Special Steel ranked 15th on the list with a scorecard of of 748 and a brand value of RMB 5.8 billion, an increase of RMB 444 million from last year.

 

First time in this list is Jingjiang Special Steel which ranked 56th in the "Product Brand" category, with a scorecard of 748 registered a brand value of RMB 883 million.

 

The increasing brand value of these subsidiaries are remarkable achievements in CITIC Special Steel Group's stable of solid brands that align its high-quality development showcasing the group's strong branding strategy, comprehensive strength, and its market footprint on a global scale.

 

This annual brand value evaluation is jointly organized by the China Brand Building Promotion Association and relevant authoritative institutions has been held for ten consecutive years. It follows international and national standards, adhering to the principles of "scientific, fair, open, and recognized" effort of steel producers in China.

 

This year, 1,068 brands participated in the evaluation, covering leading enterprises in most industries. A total of 720 brands were evaluated and their combined brand value reached RMB10.15 trillion, an average increase of 1.4% compared to last year.
