From e-commerce to enterprise services, annual report reveals China’s start-ups trend shift
Nov 01, 2018 (China Knowledge) - NetEase Cloud and IT Orange have released a national start-up business report for 2018. Data shows that there are more than 100,000 start-ups nationwide this year, among which Beijing has the largest number of start-ups, reaching 29,568. Beijing, Guangdong and Shanghai account for more than 65% of the total number of 67,639 enterprises in China, which means that 65% of the entrepreneurs are concentrated in less than 1% of the provinces and cities. This shows the imbalance of regional economic vitality.
In 2018, the number of start-up companies in Beijing, Guangdong and Shanghai were 29,568, 21,959 and 16,112, respectively, accounting for more than 65% of the country. Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Sichuan and Fujian ranked the second echelon of entrepreneurs and were active provinces.
In terms of industry distribution, e-commerce entrepreneurship dropped significantly in 2018, accounting for 18.35%. More and more entrepreneurs, accounting for 39.43% in the field of enterprise services, represented a new entrepreneurial trend. In addition, hardware 9.9%, finance 9.78%, culture and entertainment 8.21% and local life 6.71% have also attracted the attention of entrepreneurs.
It is understood that in this year's Netease China Entrepreneurs Competition, the trend of entrepreneurship to toB is obvious, recruiting more than 2000 projects, "enterprise services" accounted for nearly 30%. In this trend, cloud computing and large data technology capabilities become an important foundation for enterprise service companies, will play an increasingly important role.
