Aug 22, 2019 (China Knowledge) - The second China International Import Expo (CIIE) held a roadshow in Nanjing, Jiangsu province yesterday to attract private, small and mid-sized businesses with new products and technologies in the quality of life, food and agricultural arenas.

CIIE is scheduled to be held in Shanghai in early November. More than 250 of the world's top 500 companies and industry leaders have signed up to participate. Compared with the first one, more products and technologies will be launched during this expo.

So far this year, Twelve CIIE roadshows have been held, covering most of China. Some exhibitors such as New Zealand dairy Newland, sports apparel and footwear maker Skechers, and high-end home electric appliance maker Bosch Siemens shared their experiences of last year's expo with buyers at the Nanjing event.

Jiangsu Trading Delegation established 16 trading sub-groups in accordance with the overall requirements of “larger scale, better quality, stronger innovation, higher level and better performance”. Since June, 28 enterprises and units have been organized to participate in three pre-show matchmaking meetings organized by the Import and Export Bureau.

This year, the quality of life arena has a larger area of coverage and a more professional division, adding new exhibition areas for mother and baby products, clothing and accessories. In the food exhibition area, 1,717 companies have confirmed their participation. Madagascar's bird eye chili, baobab powder, limited-edition glass water bottles from France's Danone will be on display in the Food & Agricultural Products section for the first time.
