FTSE China A50 index rises 0.75% on opening to 13,194.4.

Of the 50 stocks in the index, Inner Mongolia Yili (600887) and New China Life Insurance (601336) saw the largest increase of 7.81% and 7.79%, respectively.

China Merchants Shekou (001979) and Guangdong Wens Foodstuff (300498) fell the most, dropping 2.24% and 1.59%, respectively.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 3,612.25, rising 0.13%, Shenzhen Component Index 15,049.77, up 0.31%. Over at HK, Hang Seng Index declined 0.98%, to open at 29,002.67.

Last night, the Dow Jones Index ended 1.57% higher, while the NASDAQ climbed by 2.43%.
