May 19, 2023 (China Knowledge) - FTSE China A50 index falls 0.85% on opening to 12,896.07.

Of the 50 stocks in the index, Foxconn Industrial Internet (601138) and Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine (600276) saw the largest increase of 2.45% and 2.23%, respectively.

China Railway Construction (601186) and China Communications Construction (601800) fell the most, dropping 2.96% and 2.72%, respectively.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 3,288.89, falling 0.26%, Shenzhen Component Index 11,061.75, down 0.15%. Over at HK, Hang Seng Index declined 0.98%, to open at 19,535.49.

Last night, the Dow Jones Index ended 0.34% higher, while the NASDAQ climbed by 1.51%.
